My role is the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Regional Consultant for Culture, Diversity & Inclusion. I live in Ireland and am based from the Cherrywood, Dublin Office. The Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion role is dedicated to cultivating a workplace environment that values and celebrates diversity in all its forms. Overall, the Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion Team plays a critical part in shaping a culture in Dell Technologies that embraces diversity as a strategic pillar and promotes equity and inclusion for all. In my role, I collaborate with various teams within the EMEA Region to develop and implement diversity and inclusion programs, training sessions and awareness campaigns. The objective is to build a culture that not only acknowledges differences but actively leverages them for innovation and success. My role plays a fundamental part in fostering a workplace environment where authenticity and diversity are not only acknowledged but celebrated. Through collaborative efforts with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Regional/Business Unit (BU) HR and Leadership Teams, we strive to ensure that our workplace embraces diversity as a strength, fostering an environment where every employee feels valued and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents. By creating initiatives that empower individuals to bring their authentic selves to work, we aim to dismantle barriers and promote a sense of belonging. When did you join Dell Technologies? Could you share your career progression within the company? I joined Dell in 2007 as an HR Generalist supporting UK and Ireland Sales organizations based in the CWD, Dublin site. When I joined, I didn’t anticipate such long tenure or exposure to dynamic career opportunities, growth and learning experiences as I progressed into various HR Business Partners roles at the Regional and Global level. In 2022 I was given the opportunity to transition into EMEA Regional Lead for Diversity & Inclusion, a field that I am very passionate about and has given me immense professional and personal fulfillment.
How has the organization inspired you to make an impact? Diversity and Inclusion has been a deeply personal and inspiring journey, as it has granted me the space to authentically be who I am. It has been a profound source of inspiration, driving me to make a lasting impact in areas that resonate deeply with my personal experiences. Experiencing the power of embracing one's authentic self within diverse environments has fueled my commitment to creating spaces where individuals feel not only accepted but celebrated for their uniqueness. Having navigated the challenges of working with a hidden disability and confronting imposter syndrome, I am driven to dismantle barriers and advocate for inclusivity, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background or ability, can thrive in an environment that recognizes and values their contributions. This journey has not only shaped me professionally but resonates on a personal level as I champion authenticity, diversity, and resilience both inside and outside of work. In particular, supporting my nieces as they build and shape a world where they can thrive without limitations, reinforcing the profound impact that Diversity and Inclusion initiatives can have on future generations. How are you empowered to make an impact at Dell Technologies?
